The forum name you use appears at the end of every message that you post on any of the forums.

We urge you to adopt a forum name so that your identity, and importantly that of your family and child, is not apparent to the whole world. When a child becomes a teenager, he/she will want to decide for him/herself whether it is generally known that he/she has a genetic condition.

To protect them, you simply need a forum name. Examples of usernames are first names followed by an initial for the surname, or something completely different, like ranger79

Individuals and Families, Medics and Researchers, Youth – under 25: You will need to register in order to view and to post on these forums. They are only open to registered users.

Logging in here with your forum username and password (which we have confirmed to you by email) is for people who have already registered to join our forums. It enables you to participate on what is being said. Many users find it easier to remember if they use the same password that they used to register for the main CGD site. The Username is unique to the forum and is also your display name for others to see. Please avoid giving away personal details unless you are sure it is safe to do so using the private message facility.
