Bone Marrow Transplant in CGD

- BMT is a curative option with sufferers going on to lead a normal life with no restrictions.
- BMT is now possible with unrelated matched donors
- Post BMT, there seems to be improvement in previous problems such as lung function and bowel inflammation
- Patients and families need support for a long period, pre and post BMT
- Teenagers in particular need psychological support to enable them to cope with isolation.
