Leaving a gift in your will

We need to plan

So far we have raised over £2 million - but to plan for continued research work and future nursing services we need to be sure of continued  funds.

You may want to plan

No-one is here forever but making a will lets you make plans to take care of your family and friends. This makes it easier for them to carry out your wishes when the time comes. When you are happy that they have been cared for, you might like to help the CGD Research Trust.

By leaving a legacy to us you will give other families hope and help in the future.

Is it really necessary to make a will?

Seven out of ten people in the UK die without a will.

You might think your family and friends will automatically inherit everything. But, if you die without a Will or if your Will is deemed to be invalid (e.g. if it wasn't completed or signed correctly) then the law decides who gets what of your estate. This can cause delay, worry and hardship and may mean that the people you would like to benefit from what you own do not get what you would like them to have.

Making a Will is relatively straightforward and not very expensive. It will give you peace of mind to know that your plans will be carried ot.

We have a helpful leaflet on leaving a legacy. It covers the types of gift that you can leave and how to go about it.  Please email us from the contact page and ask for a copy of the CGD Research Trust Legacy Leaflet.
