CGD – A guide for patients and families

Our guide provides an introduction and overview to CGD. It answers many of the questions asked at diagnosis and is a good source of reference at any time. It is widely used by families and medical professionals.

A5, 34 pages, published June 2003

Our Fact sheet section (see left) covers specific symptoms and different aspects of the condition.

But having a chronic conditon is not just about the medical disorder. FAQ's are often about living with CGD as much as about the condition itself.

For example, how do I encourage my child to eat a healthy diet? I have CGD - can I travel?

Here are two information sheets that will help answer those topics.

Information Sheet 1 – Food for Thought

This information sheet provides a brief introduction to food and CGD including dietary advice, food facts, recipes and on feeding children.
A4, 5 pages, published December 2003,reviewed 2008

Information Sheet 2 – Travel and CGD

Lots of people go on holiday or go travelling, particularly on their gap year between school and university. While you are deciding where to go, a number of questions may spring to mind if you are affected by CGD.
A4, 3 pages, published December 2003; reviewed 2008
