Michael Berry
Michael Berry became a Trustee in Summer 2005 and has a personal stake in medical research: “I am particularly pleased to be able to get involved with a medical charity like CGDRT. With a lifelong chest complaint, I am all too aware that without the fruits of medical research, I would not have been able to live the full and normal life that I have enjoyed".
Michael is married, with three daughters. He is an enthusiast for art, literature and music, from reggae to high opera, serves as a churchwarden and keeps fit cycling, running and at the gym.
He is now with the Nomura Bank, having moved from up a position running the European leveraged loans fund management business of major German bank WestLB AG. He was previously Head of Leveraged Finance at the bank, which he joined in 2000. Before that, he had 20 years of banking experience in Morgan Grenfell and Deutsche Bank. A mathematics graduate and chartered accountant, he sits on the London Executive Committee of WestLB AG.
